Scrum Roles

Scrum Roles

There are three main roles in Scrum:

1. Product Owner: responsible for maximizing the value of the product and managing the product backlog. The Product Owner is the voice of the customer and represents the interests of the stakeholders.

2. Scrum Master: responsible for facilitating the Scrum process and ensuring that the team adheres to the Scrum framework. The Scrum Master is a servant-leader who helps the team to work together effectively.

3. Development Team: responsible for delivering potentially releasable increments of the product. The Development Team is self-organizing and cross-functional, with all the skills necessary to deliver the product.

In addition, there are also other roles that can be used in Scrum, such as:

4. Stakeholders: people or group that have an interest in the project and its outcome.

5. Scrum of Scrums (SoS) Master: responsible for coordinating communication and integration between multiple Scrum teams working on the same product.

6. Scrum of Scrums (SoS) Team: representatives from each Scrum team who meet regularly to coordinate and share information across teams.

7. Project Manager: responsible for overall planning and coordination of a project, which may involve several Scrum teams.

8. Product Manager: responsible for defining the product vision, strategy, and road-map, and coordinating the efforts of multiple teams to deliver the product.
